SIMULTANEOUS LINEAR EQUATIONS

Introduction

If two equations have the same variables and the same solutions then they are simultaneous linear equations. In general two simultaneous linear equation is,

$\begin{array}{l}{a}_{1}x+b_{1}y=c_1\\ a_{2}x+b_{2}y=c_2\end{array}$

Examples of simultaneous linear equation
Table below shows three examples of linear equation whereby all of them are containing two variables.

$\begin{array}{l}x+2y=-1\\ 4x-3y=18\end{array}$

$\begin{array}{l}3m+4n=5\\ 2m-5n=-12\end{array}$

$\begin{array}{l}7a-2b=26\\ 6a+5b=29\end{array}$
